Summary

The story that we read is about a woman named Ms. Luella Bates Washington Jones who had a large purse and who was very large. But what happened was that she was walking alone at 11:00pm at night, when a boy named Roger came running behind her and tried to snatch her purse. So the woman kicked him and grabbed him by his shirt. She was generous because she took him home, cleaned his face and gave him food. But the only reason why Roger tried to snatch the purse was for money. So Mrs. Luella gave Roger 10 dollars for the shoes he wanted.
